Day 1
7:00 am - 1:00 pm DOT drug testing, DOT file, guidebook review by driver
10:00 am - 2:00 pm Road testing
2:00 pm - 2:45 pm DOT file
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm Review guidebook, ADS training
Day 2
8:00 am - 3:00 pm Safety School
All new contractors are required to complete a defensive driving training course. This is a National Safety Council administered course.
(Continental Breakfast and Lunch are provided by Horizon)
3:30 pm - 4:30 pm Comdata / settlement, legalization, Q&A, meet dispatch
Day 3
8:00 am - 8:30 am General - finish up from day prior Q&A
8:30 am - 11:30 am Log training and damage deposit rule
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm Pickup drivers - connection training
11:00 am - 2:00 pm Driveaway drivers - tow car connection
 
11:30 am - 1:00 pm Final processing starts, non tow car driveaway may start at 11:30. Pickup can start at 1 and driveaway tow car start at 2:00 pm
  • Terminal dress preference
    During orientation and while you're within the main terminal, we do request that you do not wear shorts, tank tops, or any offensive clothing. Horizon prides itself on it's professionalism among our contractors and we would appreciate the dress attire to reflect this attitude.
